Shower With Multiple Surface Types Restored
Water Spots, Etch Damage, and Soap Scum
Homeowners in Phoenix, Arizona wanted their shower restored because they noticed how unsightly it had become. The stone surfaces had water spots and etch damage. Soap scum buildup had formed an ugly sheath along the edges of the shower floor. They contacted Beyond Stone Solutions, because they knew we would have the expertise to restore all four different types of materials in their shower:
- Hexagon mosaic marble tile floor
- Vein cut limestone shower walls (lower)
- White carrara marble shower walls (upper)
- Glazed ceramic tile (decorative inlay)
Our Shower Restoration and Cleaning Process
We masked and protected the floor and walls surrounding our work area. Then we honed the stone to remove surface damage and polished to restore the finish. The decorative butterfly materials could not withstand the honing and polishing process that we used throughout the rest of the shower, so we had to be careful to avoid this surface. We used professional cleaning solutions and a soft bristle brush to clean that area. Our final step was to apply an impregnating sealer to inhibit staining.
The homeowners loved how fresh, clean, and inviting their shower looked after our stone restoration, deep cleaning, and sanitizing services.
