Problem: Dark Grout Lines

The once-beautiful Saltillo tile floors in this Phoenix, AZ kitchen had become diminished in appearance. With heavy traffic and use, the sealers had worn away, leaving the tiles faded and dirty-looking. The grout lines were very dark from contaminants that had become embedded deep within the porous surface.

Solution: Stripping, Deep Cleaning, and Sealing

First, we stripped off the old acrylic seal. Then, we hand-scrubbed and deep-cleaned the floor, paying special attention to the grout lines. Our final step was to give the floor the color the homeowner desired. We oiled the Saltillo using a color tint mixed with a semi gloss acrylic seal to brighten and renew the coloring.

As you can see in the AFTER images this floor has a fresh, clean, consistent appearance. Our Saltillo tile and grout cleaning services make a dramatic difference. We originally did work on this floor in 2002 and have been cleaning it and sealing it regularly since 2007.
