Years of Neglect Take Toll

The fountain in the back yard of a Phoenix, Arizona home had not been professionally restored in many years. Exposed to the elements and a continuous flow of water, the porcelain tiles were hidden under a thick layer of contaminants and hard water deposits. Arizona is known for its very hard water.

Our Fountain Restoration Process

The homeowners emptied the fountain and cleared away the yard debris.

First, we applied a professional cleaning solution to loosen the hard water deposits, dirt, and grime on the tile and grout. Then, we used a stiff brush mounted on a power hand tool to gently yet effectively scrub away the residue. After giving the entire fountain a thorough wash and rinse, it didn’t take long for the intense Arizona summer sun to dry the fountain. Once the fountain was completely dry, we applied a sealer to the grout lines to inhibit staining.

The homeowners were shocked to see how vibrant and beautiful the blue tiles were and how new the fountain looked.
