Dirty, Damaged Pool and Patio Travertine

Homeowners in Phoenix, Arizona contacted us for a free consultation and estimate for their exterior travertine pavers. The backyard oasis included a pool and hot tub area, a fire feature, stepping stones, and wall caps. The stone was dirty and stained in some places, and several tiles were badly damaged.

Throughout this entire job, we paid close attention to where our electrical cords were, where we stepped, and the movement of our equipment to avoid damaging any of the surfaces surrounding our work areas, including landscaping.

First, we deep cleaned the travertine, flushing out deeply embedded dirt, grime, and contaminants. We used professional solutions on any stubborn stains and replaced several damaged tiles. We didn’t have to worry about finding matching tiles, because they were supplied by the homeowners, who had ordered extra tile before installation just in case.

To remove calcium deposits along the grassy areas, caused by overspray from the irrigation system, we acid washed the stone. We used a pH-neutral solution to remove the acidic cleaner before it could cause any damage to the travertine finish.

Our final step was to apply two coats of high-quality, professional color-enhancing sealer, Lockout and Intensifia.

The homeowners were very impressed with the results we were able to achieve. They loved the fresh, clean, renewed appearance of the entire outdoor area.
